‘Good’ Lesson Criteria Wordle

I am very proud to be able to introduce you to our vibrant learning community here at Bicester Community College. Despite local and national turbulence creating a high pressure working environment for those in the education sector, our vision remains clear and focussed.

Our ambition is to be the school of choice for students, parents and staff and this is at the heart of all we do. We aim to provide an outstanding learning experience for all of our students, empowering them to realise their full potential. Whilst the criteria applied by OFSTED to classify schools may vary, our understanding of quality provision is clear and often exceeds those expected by others. The structures we have put in place over the last two years provide a sound foundation on which to realise this aspiration.

During the course of the last twelve months we have explored our ‘Triple Bottom Line’ with students and staff and have a clear understanding of their expectations. Our next step is to explore further with parents, through a survey managed by  Educational Consultants, the expectations the wider community has of the College. We anticipate this engagement with our stakeholders will be a key aspect of realising our stated goal of becoming the school of choice for Students, Parents and Staff, meeting the needs and aspirations of all members of our community.

Whilst you will get a flavour of the College from this website, it is no substitute for a visit to see a normal College day. We would be delighted to welcome you, so please contact the College Office to arrange a visit.
