Aims
To help students develop an awareness of Britain's heritage as well as an understanding of the wider world, and to promote a greater understanding of the present by studying the past. Within their studies in history we aim to develop students' study skills and to encourage their critical analysis. We also hope to create an enthusiasm for this subject by investigating the past.

New History Mural
During Enrichment Week the History corridor was transformed from a run-of-the-mill school corridor to a walk through the ages of history. Ms Cole and a number of Year 9 and 10 girls created the most incredible mural. Ms Cole spent the week before Enrichment Week drawing out the mural and with a reliable team transformed the area....
Year 9 GATE trip to Oxford University
Earlier in the term the Year 9 Gifted and Talented group spent the day at Wadham College, one of Oxford University’s oldest colleges dating from the early 1600s. The purpose of the visit was to show the students that Oxford University could be a possibility for their future studies. The students were greeted by current undergraduates studying at Wadham and who acted as hosts for the day’s visit....
Auschwitz
There are many clichés you could use when writing about Auschwitz. Many have the preconceived notion that visiting will be ‘harrowing’ and something that will strike you to your emotional core. Trip to Beijing 2007
On the Wednesday morning before term ended thirty students met on the College drive ready to embark on a twelve hour journey to the other side of the world.
