Homework
Year 7 | Year 8 | Year 9 | Year 10 | Year 11
We all know how important homework is. There is much evidence that good homework routines, which develop an individual’s ability to learn, are vital to students’ success. Homework is one of the areas in which the quality of the home-school partnership is crucial – parents encouraging and overseeing homework completion, and staff setting appropriate and challenging tasks and marking it regularly. The inclusion of websites will enable students to complete additional research or to follow up individual interests.
These homework booklets help to develop this important partnership. The booklets give parents and students details for the coming term of the homework which is to be set, and should be used in conjunction with the students’ homework planners. This more detailed approach should enable all students to be reminded of their daily homework commitments, as set out in their Homework timetable. It should also help parents to ensure that students complete all work set, and to support and encourage high quality homework with greater confidence in the nature of the work set. We have also included the Homework Timetable to help parents and students know the pattern of homework set. These and the homework booklets may be found on the College Website www.bicester-cc.oxon.sch.uk.
